A major component of RI-SOL’s work in GCEP is to strengthen and support the work of teachers in both Afghanistan and the United States. This is done through teacher training workshops, conferences, and our online activities.
In Afghanistan, RI-SOL conducts teachers professional development trainings on human rights, pedagogy, and ICT in education. This exposes teachers to new ideas and practices that ultimately improve students’ experiences in the classroom.

In the United States, RI-SOL engages teachers and students in international dialog and integrates global issues in the curriculum. Through our Youth Connect Worldwide program, US teachers receive a monthly lesson plan on an international issue. RI-SOL also sponsors teacher attendance at conferences on international education.
